The colors our guests are asking for this season — from warm copper to soft mushroom blonde

The color trends emerging this spring reflect a broader cultural shift toward authenticity and warmth. After several seasons dominated by icy blondes and cool-toned brunettes, our guests are gravitating toward richer, more dimensional shades that feel natural and effortless. Here are the four trends our colorists are seeing most frequently this season.

Warm Copper and Auburn

Copper continues its reign as the most-requested color family in our salons. This spring, the shade has evolved from the bright, saturated coppers of last year into softer, more wearable variations — think warm auburn with golden undertones, or a rich cinnamon that catches light beautifully. Copper works across a wide range of skin tones and can be achieved through single process color (also known as one process color), balayage, or a combination of both.

Mushroom Blonde

This cool-meets-warm hybrid sits at the intersection of blonde and brunette — a soft, ashy blonde with subtle mushroom-brown undertones. It is especially flattering on guests with fair to medium skin tones and is ideal for natural blondes looking to add depth without going dramatically darker. Mushroom blonde is typically achieved through a combination of lowlights and a toning gloss.

Rich Espresso Brunette

Dark, glossy brunette is having a major moment. Our guests are requesting deep espresso and dark chocolate shades with a mirror-like shine — the kind of color that looks incredibly healthy and polished. The key to this trend is the gloss finish: a clear or tinted gloss applied after color seals the cuticle and creates that liquid, reflective quality. This is a single process color service that delivers maximum impact with minimal maintenance.

Lived-In Balayage

Balayage is not new, but the way it is being requested has shifted. This spring, guests want softer, more blended placement with less contrast between the base and the highlights. The goal is hair that looks like it has been naturally lightened over time — not freshly colored. Our colorists achieve this through strategic placement and careful toning, creating a result that grows out beautifully and requires fewer salon visits.
